Aren't these colors absolutely cute?  I love seeing them all bundled up together like this.  This set above reminds me of a candy shop or a shabby chic room with those pastel shades.  They can be found in the ribbon//wood//etc section of the shop.  



And lastly, this little duo of reds.  Fuchsia and holly red.  I actually had to look up the spelling of FUCHSIA.  Not exactly the most intuitive spelling!

So...things have been a little quiet around here despite my goal to add more to this blog.  Blaming this completely on the stomach flu which had me lying up in bed for the better part of a day and a half.  Then finally, my husband came home from travel and was able to take care of me.  My first day up and actual able to move around, this little scene greeted me.  I was checking on emails and convos on Etsy and I happened to look over at my work table.

So this is what I look like sitting there!  Haha...it was a little different seeing things through his eyes.  Doesn't he look so intent on crafting?  In actuality, he is just trying to open up a package using my scissors.  Why is it that they always reach for your craft scissors and not the ones you keep in the junk drawer?

Vintage Style Seam Binding Ribbons

Not feeling too much up to crafting just yet, I've been working on winding these little lovelies.  I'm just enamored with all the different colors these ribbons come in and they tie so beautifully.  I have also seen them on different projects in a rumpled style, but I think they look too cute wound on little clothespins.  Check back at ink & scissors for more colors coming your way.

Burlap Bonnet Wildflowers

Just a few more listings for the night.  Aren't those lavender flowers just so sweet?  I'm typically not a fan of anything purple, but these burlap flowers are just lovely.  They are made of a starched burlap fabric which allows them to hold their shape really well.  Plus, how can you not love the rustic look?  These will probably find a spot on my printers tray project.  They look especially cute in my vintage wooden spool! 

Crystal Clear Acrylic Flowers

The final edition of the night...these little acrylic flowers.  I had a hard time choosing which color to first stock, but I love the simplicity of the clear flowers.  Just the right amount of sparkle without overpowering anything I choose to use them on.  These are flat enough that they can be used easily on scrapbook layouts or as accents on mini albums.

Special You - Unique Gift Card Holder

Here I used the chipboard as a base for this cute gift card holder.  I'm always a fan of receiving gift cards, but those little cardboard envelopes that they arrive in can be so boring sometimes.  A little too literal for my tastes.  I like to package them up in something special and that's how this holder was born.  Embellish it with bling and doilies with a small pocket on the inside for the gift card to slip into.  Who wouldn't love getting something like this? 

I have been entirely remiss in keeping this blog up.  Part of the reason is my catching up on my other hobby, cross-stitching.  I've been working on these vintage-style roses that I mean to frame into embroidery hoops and give to my mom and mother-in-law for mother's day.  I'm not a very fast stitcher. 

However, I still find time to surf the net! 

I found this sweet little post on Before The Baby that features one of my stamped carnival ticket items.  I love the new Etsy feature which allows you to see where some visitors are clicking from.


I love making these tickets and using them on scrapbook layouts.  They are just the right size for embellishments and they're wonderful for layering behind photos.  Aren't they just cute?  I think they're also a fun additional into invitations.  Maybe do a raffle for the party?  If you would like to view more of my carnival tickets, visit my store ink & scissors.  Also, be sure to visit sometime in the next few weeks!  I have several ideas just brewing in my head of different themes I can use for these tickets.
